We’re excited to welcome Benjamin Uloh, a first-year Ph.D. student, to our research team. Benjamin holds a BEng in Chemical Engineering and brings a strong background in sustainable materials research. His undergraduate work focused on biological catalysts for the breakdown of post-consumer plastic packaging, laying a solid foundation for his current research interests.
In our lab, Benjamin is exploring catalysis and solvolysis-based strategies for upcycling plastic waste into high-value chemical feedstocks. With global concerns surrounding plastic pollution, landfill overflows, and microplastics, his work addresses one of the most pressing environmental challenges of our time: transforming waste into a resource. Beyond the lab, Benjamin enjoys traveling, cooking, and sports; a well-rounded addition to both our research and social culture!
We’re thrilled to have him on board and look forward to seeing how his research unfolds. Welcome, Benjamin!
